Abbas Maaroof
Dr. Abbas Maaroof is a research scientist with the Institute of Nanoscale Technology and Applied Physics at the University of Technology Sydney, Australia. He has Bsc (Physics) from Univesity of Baghdad, Iraq , Msc in Applied and Modern Optics, and PhD in ultrathin metal films and X-rays multilayers films from University of Reading, England. His field specializations and interests are Optical and Electrical properties of nanostructures metal films, plasmonic nanostructures physics, x-ray multilayers physics, and metallic mesoporous nanocomposites with special emphasis on the development and characterization of mesoporous gold films for optical windows, capacitive biosensors, and lithium ion batteries and other fields such as fabrication and determination of magnetic properties of spongy Nano-Porous Nickel and Cobalt Ultra-Thin Films.
